They turn down their pumping power (and electrical consumption) to match the heating system which can reduce electricity by up to 80%.

The Wilo Star residential small wet rotor circulators are available with cast iron or bronze bodies in single or three speed models and used for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water recirculation systems. Built for durability and efficiency, Wilo Star pumps have a stainless steel motor shaft and exclusive motor cam and use less electricity. The Wilo Star Z-15 residential domestic recirculation pumps comes with installed line cords, optional timers, and lead free bronze construction. The Wilo Top S heavy residential or light commercial 2 speed wet rotor circulators are available with cast iron bodies and stainless steel motor end parts. The Wilo Top Z commercial two speed wet rotor circulator pumps are available with a no lead bronze body and internal filtering system.
